Learning to sew

Well, learning is a stretch. Considering I haven't yet successfully threaded the bobbin (I don't really know what a bobbin is or if that makes sense). Considering, even after studying the instructions for about 30 minutes, I can't figure out how to get the machine threaded, I don't think this is going to be a very fruitful activity...

Threading the machine and winding the bobbin are the hardest things about machine sewing. I wish I were there to talk you through it. What kind of machine is it?

oh, aunty mikie I wish you were here too! but more for the fun that we'd have exploring the English countryside! :) Although, I could certainly use some sewing lessons, especially from a master craftswoman! It's not a brand machine-- just a little one that I picked up at tesco... I figured I'd start on a basic one. Only, not so basic!
